With a young chef friend from overseas in town, we have been revisiting some of London's top restaurants to show her the best of what London has to offer. Trying to narrow down great London restaurants to a small handful of places to eat is always difficult, but we want places that have a unique signature on food and Hibiscus is one of those places. It turns out that it was almost exactly a year ago that it Hibiscus last appeared on the blog and so the Spring theme continues (even if the weather is more like Winter this time around). We're impressed that there is still a 3 course lunch menu available (with choices even) for £35 and it looks really good and we could quite easily have enjoyed this option.
But with our friend wanting to see the best of London food, we opt for the 'taste of Spring' menu where you don't know what's coming and place yourself in the hands of the kitchen. With much written about Hibiscus on this blog before, there's no need for lengthy descriptions and discussion this time, instead, we simply invite you to savour the pictures of the food below. Standout dishes: mussels that pack an incredible punch, the freshness of spring onion and lime ravioli, and perfect pastry with a vanilla millefeuille.
