The City of London, now also known as the Square Mile, is an ancient district of London running from The Strand in the West, almost as North as Old Street, not quite as far East as Commercial Street, with the River Thames forming its Souther boundary. You can see the extent of the City by clicking the map here.
While in its modern form the City has not been the home to London's very best restaurants, things are changing and the restaurant scene has taken on a new lease of life. The map shows restaurants in the City that are on our blog with links through to our post as well as restaurants that fall just outside the City boundary but are in walking distance.
