If you're planning a trip to Copenhagen and wondering where to stay, you could do worse than The Nimb. This is a boutique hotel that's been refurbed to an incredibly high standard and offers the guests great rooms and great facilities ensuring a very comfortable stay. It's not cheap but it is very nice.
In terms of facilities, there's an onsite Michelin starred restaurant (though we never got to eat there), there's a brasserie offering more informal dining throughout the day and the most amazing wine room holding Denmark's largest selection of wines (running into thousands of bottles with every European wine you could think of and more). If you prefer cocktails or beer, the upstairs bar is simply breathtaking boasting multiple chandeliers and a real log fire.

We did enjoy some drinks at the bar and were impressed with how seriously they take their mixology with the knowledgable and friendly barman delivering a pretty decent Singapore Sling.
The room (suite) meanwhile was also a delight. Similarly boasting a real fire, the room also offers a four poster bed, a generous and seperate sitting area and the most fantastic views over Tivoli Gardens.

As a guest at The Nimb, you have full access to the lovely Tivoli Gardens while non residents are required to pay an entry fee. While the Tivoli Gardens are essentially summer gardens and an amusement park with half a dozen big rides, at Christmas, they have started to turn it into a Christmas Wonderland. If there's anything of the child within you, you'll love the Christmas trees, the lights and the boutique shops and refreshment areas. These little wooden huts sell all those Christmas time goodies like mulled wine, tree decorations and (being a Nordic country) reindeer hides.
We have been told that the gardens are a disappointment during their natural summer period but as a Christmas theme park, it is an absolute winner for kids of all ages.
