Alyn Williams and Simon Rogan: ChefStock

Ech Tuesday night throughout September, Alyn WIlliams at The Westbury has invited some of the world's leading chefs to share his kitchen and deliver a one night only menu that sees half the plates cooked by Alyn and half by the guest chef. Last night, the guest chef was Simon Rogan, owner of double Michelin starred L'enclume and most recently number one in the Good Food Guide with a perfect 10.

Regular readers of our blog will know that both Alyn and Simon are two of our favourite chefs in the country and we were delighted therefore to accept an invitation to try this unique menu. The food was of course fantastic, as you would expect from such culinary heavyweights, while the menu worked well in bringing their food styles together, highlighting more similarities than differences. The result was a seamless meal delivered in style by Giancarlo and his FOH team while overall highlighting that Alyn Williams at The Westbury has firmly secured its spot as one of London's go to fine dining venues.

That looks great. I love both these chefs.

I know this is a daft question, but is the apple an apple or something looking like an apple? I can't be the only person wondering.

The apple was blown sugar filled with apple puree.
